I cannot believe that 2018 begins on Monday. What a perfect start- a Monday!
I’ve got so much that I can’t wait to do in 2018. I’ve been scribbling away furiously in my bullet journal making budget plans, blog plans, and marking out my diary for some amazing plans in the coming year.
I get a little nervous about this time of year and it definitely has snuck up on me. With only three days left of 2017, I’m kind of scrambling around trying to get things sorted before the fresh start that is 2018. I want to gut the flat, tidy my desk, sort my university workload timetable but also make sure to spend more time on myself.
It’s time to start making my New Year’s resolutions and to be honest, I was a little stumped. Other than the usual, “eat better” “workout” “have more patience”, I wasn’t too sure what I wanted to work on. So I had a little browse of Pinterest.
1. To Lose Weight.
Shocker right? Another person who has decided to work out as soon as the new year has happened. But I’ll be honest with you, I started this around a month ago just as I turned 24. For the past month, I’ve been trying to eat healthier and do more exercise just so that when January rolled around it wasn’t quitting my old lifestyle cold turkey. Gradual changes are the way forward. I’ve got to this point where I just snapped and was sick of my lifestyle and I can’t wait to see the progress photos!
I’m going to do another blog post about my weight loss plans and journey in the new year.
2. Focusing on my finances.
This is another one that I’ve thinking about in the past month or so. I’m far more skint now as a masters student than I was when I studied my undergrad and to be fair, months in, I’m still not used to it. Working and having it all go straight back out has been the toughest part of this change, but I feel so much better about myself now that I’m financially responsible for myself. With having a new job I’m actually able to start saving money again! A few months behind my original financial plan, but oh well! So what are my financial goals for 2018?
Time to get some savings! Savings for a house and a car especially. When my masters is up in the latter part of 2018, that’s goodbye student status and hello new expenses. I’m still very unsure of what my “plan” is after graduating my masters other than getting a job so I’m trying to save up as much as I can! I have my budget in place and my savings goals firmly in my head, so pray for me that I get through 2018 with no major financial bumps.
I really want to go away for a bit during 2018, under my own steam and wrap up my education with an amazing trip. So fingers crossed that will happen!
3. ORGANISE MY LIFE BETTER
I’d be lost without my Bullet Journal. It honestly keeps me sane, organised and on track.
Is there a way to become even more organised?
Now that I’m working on my career it’s something I’ve been thinking about more and more. I decided to make it my resolution this year to stick to my plans and to find even more ways to stay organised. I’m going to try out new bullet journal spreads and ideas I’ve found on Pinterest to see what I can change.
So what changes will you see here on the blog?
Well, I’ve decided to start blogging more about Bullet Journalling for a start! A really fantastic method of organising your life and it can make everything so pretty!
You will also see more fitness and healthy lifestyle posts. I am planning on writing update posts as I go through my weight-loss and fitness journey and I hope that you guys will enjoy reading about it.
But the biggest change?
MORE YOUTUBE VIDEOS!
For my Christmas this year, my main present was a vlogging camera! I would love it if you would go and check out my channel and maybe even subscribe. I’m going to be filming more videos now that I have my own wee camera for it.
Happy New Year!
What are your New Year’s Resolutions?
