What is Bongos Bingo? Bongo’s Bingo is the new craze sweeping the UK. At first I thought “not for me”. But then I saw it EVERYWHERE. Then an invite to attend landed in my inbox and I thought, right, it’ll be an experience, let’s do this.  Then I saw that 5ive were doing a Bongos Bingo gig here in Newcastle, and I WAS SOLD. If you didn’t know, 5ive was one of my favourite bands when I was little. My mum and I used to sing along to them all the time and the chance to see them live I…

Hi Everyone! October is over and it’s been an exciting month for us here in the Kennedy-Hinds household. I love busy months where they fly by and you realise how much has changed in just a month. October : we got a dog As you may have already read, we got a dog. Robbie has been with us nearly a full month and it has been a massive change to the household. It’s weird going from only having yourself to think about, to waking up at specific times to let the dog out, walk him and give him his breakfast.…

SAY HELLO TO ROBBIE HINDS, our little westie ! This has got to be the most exciting post I’ve ever written on my blog. I own a dog. As you all know, Rob and I are westie daft. You only have to look at our instagrams and see all the photos of Teemo that we borrow using Borrowmydoggy, to see how much we love this breed. Borrowing Teemo for the past year has given us a taste of the westie owner life, their behaviours, their traits and just how loveable they are. We have been keeping an eye out for…

Hey there! So we’re finally starting to get some decorating done! I’m so happy! I think starting to decorate your house is such a daunting process. If you’re anything like me, you’ll have about 10 different styles you like, all for different budgets! Since moving in together, we have been making plans to decorate and renovat the house. Most of the rooms in the house are liveable in and will get their makeovers over time, but our bedroom is number one on the list. The bedroom has been Robs for years, and as such has been through every stage of…

Hello there! Oh it feels so good to be writing back on the blog! If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been trying to survive my masters dissertation as well as resits. Thankfully, I’ve only got another couple of weeks to go to finish my dissertation. It feels so good to just write for the sake of writing, not for academic reasons. So todays’ blog post is a super happy one for me and I couldn’t wait to share it. Teemo has been staying over a couple of nights a week, for the past couple of…

The end of university life is nigh. It’s time to sort myself out for a life after university. The most important part of that is sorting out my finances. We really don’t talk about money enough. It’s a topic that people are really private about and in all honesty, I really wish we weren’t. I really wish that at school we had have had classes that taught you about real world things like budgeting, finances, taxes, mortgages etc. I’m going to write another couple of posts about this and some advice for students with money! So keep your eyes out…

Seeing Whistlejacket for the first time… I remember the first time my Aunty took me to London for a weekend of sight-seeing. With family friends in London, it was going to be a weekend of galleries and museums. I remember thinking how boring it was going to be, looking at boring old paintings. What I didn’t realise is that I would happen across my now favourite painting in the world, and one that would be linked to a life-long love of all things equestrian. The painting Whistlejacket. Whistlejacket is a painting by George Stubbs from 1762, of the racehorse owned…

August has been a whirlwind of a month. So much has gone on but it also feels like it’s gone so quickly and barely anything has happened? I honestly can’t believe it’s September at the weekend. As you may have seen elsewhere on my social media, Rob and I have been getting ourselves ready to move in together. WE MOVED IN TOGETHER!  I feel like I’ve been droning on about moving in together for months. It felt really strange not having a super strict deadline to move out by. The end of my tenancy is in the first week of…

Books are one of my favourite things. It’s something I’ve wanted to blog about more but never really thought people would be interested in? But as my blog is growing and my life is changing, I’ve decided to make different types of posts! This change got me thinking. How can I have a blog and have not talked about Harry Potter yet?! So I thought I would share with you my book journey this year and a few answers from the Harry Potter Tag! ( I just googled it, if you want to try it!) Harry Potter was such a massive…
