Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle Restaurant Week offer, is it worth your money?

Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle

The Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle has now become a landmark on the Newcastle Quayside. Nestled within the Old Guild Hall building right below the Tyne Bridge, it is in an iconic location.

I was very lucky to be invited along to the press launch day when it opened in 2021 and vowed to return after being wowed by the food and service. We are lifelong fans of the Hard Rock Cafe. My parents have travelled to them all aceoss the world, many of them not standing anymore! And I was lucky to go to a few around the world over the years, so I was buzzing when I found out it was coming to Newcastle.

Fast forward to this January and we are saving for a mortgage deposit, a wedding and living in the midst of a cost of living crisis with rising energy bills. SO much fun! But we decided to treat ourself to the Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle’s Restaurant Week Offer!

2 courses for £15 or 3 for £20 (per person) is pretty reasonable for most restaurants but an absolute steal for the food at Hard Rock Cafe. Take a look at the menu below:

What we ordered at Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle for Restaurant Week

Rob opted for a starter and a main, and I went for a main and a dessert. Neither of us felt we could handle 3 courses!

The chicken wings with BBQ sauce- they looked so good, I wish I had got them too!

Rob got the BBQ chicken wings followed by the Legendary burger. He said it was just as good as the one he had when we visited the one in Edinburgh and was pretty full after it. Rob has created his own food instagram where he shares the meals he makes, beer he drinks and great recipes.

If you like to see food content, head on over to Rob’s food instagram to see more of the cracking meals he makes and reviews of when we go out for food and drink!

Tulepo chicken tenders, seasoned fries, BBQ sauce and Honey and Mustard Sauce

I got the Tulepo chicken tenders with seasoned fries, BBQ sauce and honey and mustard sauce. Now I am not a person who ventures far out their comfort zone with food but I thought no I will try the honey and mustard sauce. It was so good! Perfect mix with the BBQ sauce. The chicken tenders aren’t little bits of chicken, each one is nearly if not a full chicken breast so I was quite full after eating them with the chips. For dessert, I went back to an old faithful, vanilla ice cream.

Altogether, including one beer for Rob and a fanta for me, our bill came to £37. Not bad at all! We got a cracking night out in a lush restaurant with fantastic staff, great music and atmosphere for quite an affordable price for two!

When you finished your meal, the receipt came and you could use it to get a discount in the Rock Shop on your way out. I did have my eye on a mason jar and a couple of other bits but I’m trying to reign in my overspending at the moment, but maybe next time!

All in all, I was really impressed with the offer and it will definitely be on my mind to visit Hard Rock Cafe Newcastle next time Restaurant Week comes around! I definitely think it was worth the visit and wasn’t too expensive. I feel the menu had some great staples of their main menu on it and covered a lot of different tastes.
