MY FIRST CLINIQUE EXPERIENCE

image

I have never purchased anything from Clinique before. After seeing it everywhere and hearing raving reviews about their ‘Moisture Surge’ range I decided that my dry skin needed to experience something from this much loved brand.

At the Clinique counter in Boots I was greeted by a friendly woman who wanted to test my skin. It turns out my skin is dry to very dry so it was definitely worth purchasing the moisture surge range. She showed me the difference between the ‘Moisture Surge Cream’ and the ‘Moisture Surge Intense Cream’, it was obvious to me that the texture of the oil-free formula of the Intense Cream was right for my skin.

I went in definitely seeking the ‘Moisture Surge Face Spray’. It’s a brilliantly light spray that definitely moisturises my dull, dry skin. After using it just once I noticed I wasn’t scratching my face like I normally do or feeling the slight twinges I was used to in my delicate under eye area. It’s cool, refreshing and you can’t feel it on your skin after a few minutes.

I keep it no secret that I have always been a bit lazy when it comes to properly looking after my skin. I don’t have a routine per se and I’m often quite forgetful when it comes to moisturising and maintaining my skin. University has really changed the way I focus my attention on things, I’m often distracted by work and other things and so forget to look after my skin. So I decided to purchase the ‘Overnight Mask’.

A nighttime cream that hydrates my skin whilst I sleep? Yes Please! Perfect for busy (or in my case lazy) people who still want their skin to feel nice. It has a luxurious feel to it and my skin feels calm before bed and it’s lovely for a little pampering session. I only need to use it a couple of times a week to keep my skin sorted.image

Upon buying this whole range and booking in for a ‘Insta-glow’ treatment, I was given a couple of free gifts! As I was handed my bag I noticed it was very heavy and looked inside to see this gorgeous floral tin!

In the tin I received many little products.

  • Liquid Facial Soap Mini
  • Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser
  • Turnaround Overnight Revitalising Moisturiser
  • All About Shadow Duo in ’18 Beached Plum’
  • Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturising Lip Balm  in ‘flowering freesia’
  • High impact Mascara
  • Chubby Stick moisturising lip balm in ‘super strawberry’

I love these little mini day and night moisturisers- perfect for my makeup travel bag! image

I was really excited to try out a Clinique Chubby Stick! Another product I’ve heard so much about. It’s light on my lips, full of colour for a lip balm and keeps them from getting dry. The ‘Super Strawberry’ shade is like my natural lip shade but better. Already popped it in my travel bag ready for my trip to Leeds in a couple of weeks.image

I was quite surprised to see this little eyeshadow duo in the tin but I’m quite pleased. As I have green eyes I did some research for what colours go well with green eyes and purple shades always come up so it’s nice to have one to try. The colours are bright and bold, lots of pigment and the mirrored case is perfect for on the go.

Overall, I’m thoroughly pleased to jump into higher end products such as Clinique and the little travel kit is definitely going places with me!
